The Court’s Turn to Neuroscience for the Answers

It has long been known that the human brain matures well beyond puberty, into adulthood. Now the court’s are beginning to make adjustments in recognition of this well established fact. For one thing the amygdala, which kicks in very late, and is associated with fear, making our brains confront the reality of the situation; I once witnessed a champion snowboard skier, Shaun White, admit that he couldn’t face the daredevil routines he accomplished just a few years ago: the answer is his amygdala kicked in and what he trouble doing today, he accomplished yesteryear without a hitch.
