Leading Republican candidates based on donations from military personnel

Perhaps you might have guessed this already, but the donations that are reported by each political candidate include the source of the funds. TheSpinfactor has tallied this support for the Republican presidential candidates, separating donations from the Army, Navy, Airforce and Veterans and guess who comes out on Top? Yes, Ron Paul exceeds second place McCain by an almost 50% higher level of support for the quarter ending in July. Do you think the American soldier, who we have placed into a non-arbitrary piece of Hell, without adequate armor, whose stay has been arbitrarily extended, whose parents and Cher take up donations to get better helmets, who must be a combination soldier, police officer, social worker, construction worker, body guard and green zone watchdog, who cannot identify the enemy, doesn’t know what Iraqis are saying to him and now realizes that if injured he might wind up in a dump truck outside a military hospital in Washington DC for the rest of his life, do you think this soldier wants to continue and fight in Iraq for the good of George Bush, Dick Cheney and the neoconservatives of America. Just imagine the small circle of people in our government who were anxious to go to war. Add one more than you thought because Henry Kissinger told us that Afghanistan wasn’t making a big enough statement and then you might have the basis of the $ donation trail from soldiers and veterans. Why isn’t Rush Limbaugh going over to entertain the troops? They need him more than we do; he should be alright over there as they have a complete retinue of drugs much like what we have here.
